Looks like a very sinister thing to me. It might be the hiding den of a criminal, most probably a serial killer or rapist or a paedophile. I don't think that there is anything innocuous about it because there were cries coming out from the place and when the lifeboatmen went in there, there was no one.

Looks like a cool hideaway for me. I only hope that there is nothing sinister about it. If it was built by a man who wanted to be alone and with nature for a few days a week or a month then it must not be tampered with. The guy who owns made this place must approach the authorities and request them not to reveal the exact location of the place. It seems like a lot of effort went into building that place.

Most probably a night fisherman's den. The cries that were heard coming of the area could very well be from somewhere else. Or it might be possible that the fisherman who owns the dens brought his girl and after a few beers (they found empty cans) they had a fight where he thrashed her. Nothing sinister about it.

I have a strong feeling that it was the den of a fugitive on the run. It remind me of the place where the fugitive Injun Joe in Mark Twain's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Remember the place where Tom Sawyer and his mate Huckleberry Finn found the hidden money?

The guy who first scouted up this cliff home and then went great lengths to add some comforts is some recluse.
Maybe we will soon hear, the guy had an geosat phone and did watch the world drama on his laptop from the cave home.
With gate crashers finding no one home, high up in the cliffs, the recluse managed to evade becoming a overnight celebrity.
S/he still took refuge in anonymity.
